Offline survival assistant
Encyclopedia Galactica
Ad astra per aspera
A survival assistant that runs on your phone and nowhere else. Download the model once while you have signal. After that it answers with the radios off.
How do I purify water without a filter?
What does it actually look like?
Seven screens at the phone's real size. Pick one — every colour, radius and type size is read from the app's own theme file, so what you are looking at is what the app draws.

02 / 07 One-time download
The model is written to the app's own storage. This happens once; after it the app never needs the network again.

- 3 Written to <documents>/models/
How do I start a fire with wet wood?
1. Split the wet logs and use the dry heartwood at the center. 2. Shave that dry core into a pile of fine curls. 3. Build a platform of dead sticks so the fire is off the wet ground. 4. Light the curls, then feed pencil-thin pieces one at a time. 5. Stack damp wood beside the flame to dry before it goes on. 6. Block the wind with a rock or log on the upwind side.
03 / 07 An answer
Numbered steps, one short sentence each, eight at most. No preamble, no emoji, no markdown.
Point at a row to find it on the screen
- 1 Status dot Green — running on-device
- 2 The question Asked with the radios off
- 3 The answer Six steps, plain text
What's a good stock to buy right now?
I can only help with survival and preparedness — ask me about food, water, shelter, fire, first aid, or surviving a disaster.
04 / 07 Private chat & scope
The lock turns the input teal and keeps the session out of storage. Off-topic questions get one sentence, always the same one.

How do I get it working?
- Install the app and open it once while you still have a connection.
- Tap Load Knowledge Base and stay on Wi-Fi for the 2.6 GB download.
- Wait for the status dot to turn green. This happens one time only.
- Put the phone in airplane mode if you want to prove the point.
- Ask anything about staying alive and read the numbered steps.
- Turn on Private Chat for a session you would rather not keep.
Where do my questions go?
Nowhere. There is no inference API to call and no account to attach a question to. The whole loop closes inside the phone.
No inference API
The model file sits in the app's document directory and runs on the phone's own silicon through llama.cpp. There is no endpoint behind it.
No account
Nothing to sign into, because there is no server to sign into. The app works the same on a phone that has never been online since setup.
No cloud history
Chats live under a single local storage key. Settings clears every one of them in a tap, and Private Chat skips writing them at all.
One download, then quiet
The only network request the app ever makes is fetching the model. Delete the app and the model goes with it.
What will it answer, and what won't it?
It is built for one subject and holds that line. A 4-billion-parameter model that tries to be everything is worse at the thing you opened it for.
I can only help with survival and preparedness — ask me about food, water, shelter, fire, first aid, or surviving a disaster.
Everything outside the list gets exactly this sentence.
